A former Cistercian church and monastery, founded in 1286 by the Brandenburg margraves of the Ascanian dynasty. The monks took over the monastery on 11 June 1294. The complex was erected in the Gothic brick style between 1286 and 1294. It was secularised around 1539.
Today the site houses the Parish of Our Lady of the Scapular. Surviving elements include fragments of the eastern and southern wings as well as the well-preserved cellars of the western wing. The site is listed in the register of monuments.
The parish church is open during services.
