A Cistercian nuns' monastery founded in November 1248 by Barnim I, Duke of Szczecin, together with four noble families (von Osten, von Borck, von Jerichow, Regedanz). The monastery's endowment was relatively generous and comprised around 1,100 hides of land.
The Gothic church (the former monastery church) and fragments of the former monastic buildings survive to this day. The site lies on the Cistercian Trail - the West Pomeranian Loop.
The parish church is open during services.
