The main sanctuary of the Zamość-Lubaczów Diocese. The origins of the cult date back to an apparition to Jakub Ruszczyk on 5 August 1640. Between 1648 and 1664, a wooden church was built with the endowment of Katarzyna Zamoyska, and in 1664 the voivode Jan Zamoyski provided the legal basis for a Dominican monastery.
The Baroque church was erected between 1690 and 1699 to a design by Jan Michał Link and consecrated in 1699. Its founder was Maria Kazimiera Sobieska, and its administration was entrusted to the Dominicans (removed by the Tsarist authorities in 1864).
The sanctuary is open year-round.
