Oliwa Archcathedral in Gdańsk

Location and surroundings

The cathedral is located in the Oliwa district of Gdańsk, next to the historic former Cistercian complex and Oliwa Park.

History

The church originates from a former Cistercian abbey, with a Gothic body and Baroque décor. It is famous for the celebrated Oliwa organ, built in the 18th century by Jan Wulf and his successors, with more than 7,000 pipes.
