The Evangelical church is located at Peace Square (plac Pokoju) in Świdnica, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, surrounded by a historic cemetery complex.
The Church of Peace was built in the 17th century using timber-frame construction (wood and clay) as one of the three Silesian Churches of Peace erected after the Peace of Westphalia. It is the largest wooden Baroque church in Europe. It is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
