Trail to Trzy Korony and Sokolica

The most popular hiking trails in the Pieniny Mountains lead to two iconic peaks - Trzy Korony and Sokolica - located in the Pieniny National Park above the Dunajec River gorge.

Location and surroundings

The trails start from Kroscienko nad Dunajcem. The fastest way to Sokolica (747 m a.s.l.) is the green trail from Kroscienko; to Trzy Korony - the trail from Kroscienko via Bajkow Gronik.

What to see

  • Viewing platform on Trzy Korony with a panorama of the Dunajec gorge and the Tatra Mountains
  • Sokolica with its famous pines on the summit
  • Sokola Perc - a section of the blue trail between Bankow Gronik and Sokolica

Who it is for

The trail from Kroscienko to Sokolica is suitable for a family walk; the loop connecting both peaks requires better fitness.

Seasonality and opening hours

Park entrance fees are charged from 1 April to 15 November. A ticket purchased for one peak is valid on the same day for the other.

Public parking in Kroscienko nad Dunajcem (Zdrojowa Street); the green trail begins on Sw. Kingi Street.
