Sanctuary of Our Lady Queen of Podhale in Ludźmierz

The oldest and most important Marian sanctuary of the Podhale region, and after Kalwaria Zebrzydowska the second pilgrimage center of the Archdiocese of Kraków. It houses the miraculous figure of Our Lady of Ludźmierz (the Landlady of Podhale).

Significance

  • A copy of the figure of Our Lady of Ludźmierz accompanied Pope John Paul II
  • The main center of Marian devotion of the highlanders
