Collegiate Basilica of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wiślica

A Gothic collegiate church founded by Casimir the Great in 1350, on the site of earlier Romanesque temples. In 2004 it was elevated to the rank of minor basilica by John Paul II.

  • The Orants Slab (the Wiślica slab) - a rare Romanesque monument on a European scale
  • Ruthenian-Byzantine frescoes from 1397-1400 (founded by Władysław Jagiełło)
