Basilica of the Holy Trinity and the Blessed Virgin Mary in Strzelno

A Romanesque structure from the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries, consecrated in 1216. It holds the most valuable monument of Romanesque sculpture in Poland - columns with personifications of human virtues and vices (18 figures on each). Next to it rises the rotunda of St. Prokop.

  • The column of virtues (justice, faith, wisdom...) and the column of vices (anger, pride, impurity...)
  • Analogous carved columns in Europe are found only in Santiago de Compostela and Venice
