The Stutthof Museum in Sztutowo is a memorial site established on the grounds of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Stutthof, which operated between 1939 and 1945. The museum was founded in 1962 on the initiative of former prisoners.
The site is located in the town of Sztutowo on the Vistula Spit, about 36 km east of Gdańsk, on Muzealna Street.
Stutthof was the first concentration camp established by the Germans outside the borders of the 1937 Reich and one of the longest-operating ones. The museum was arranged on part of the former camp grounds (approx. 20 ha).
Preserved fragments of the Old Camp, the gas chamber, the commandant's building with garages, as well as exhibitions in the barracks and a monument.
The exhibition is of a difficult nature - the museum advises that children under 13 may visit under parental supervision.
