The Mausoleum is a historical and martyrological museum whose main aim is to preserve the memory of the Polish villages pacified during the Second World War.
The site is located in the village of Michniów in the Suchedniów municipality, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
Michniów was the site of a German pacification in July 1943, in which the inhabitants of the village were murdered. The Mausoleum commemorates 817 Polish villages pacified during the war. The new building of the mausoleum, with its characteristic architectural form, was opened in recent years.
