The Museum - KL Plaszow Memorial Site collects and provides knowledge about the former German Nazi labour camp and concentration camp Plaszow in Kraków. The institution began its activity on 1 January 2021.
The KL Plaszow site covered 80 hectares; the Museum currently looks after half of the preserved former camp area, located in the southern part of Kraków. The administrative headquarters is at 3 Lipowa Street.
The Plaszow camp operated from 1942 to 1945 as a German Nazi labour camp and later a concentration camp. The site is a burial place of the victims.
Since March 2024 an open-air exhibition "KL Plaszow. A place after, a place without" has been available at the memorial site, consisting of 14 carriers with materials in Polish, English and Hebrew. The visiting route takes approx. 60 minutes.
A place of remembrance of a martyrological and educational character.
The memorial site with the open-air exhibition is accessible all year round.
