Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Communist Era

The museum was established on the grounds of the former Mokotów Prison on ul. Rakowiecka, one of the most important sites of communist repression in post-war Poland. It was here in 1948 that Cavalry Captain Witold Pilecki was executed; his cell is located in pavilion X.

History

The museum grounds include, among others, the Wall of Death - the place where sentences were carried out. Visits are only possible with a guide.
