Museum of Polish Children

The museum commemorates the youngest victims of the totalitarianisms of the 20th century, in particular the German Nazi camp for Polish children established on 1 December 1942 on a site carved out of the Łódź ghetto. Nearly 3,000 underage prisoners passed through the camp, around 200 of whom lost their lives there.

History

The museum was established on 1 June 2021. In 2022 it purchased buildings on the grounds of the former camp on ul. Przemysłowa; the building of the former commandant's office at Przemysłowa 34 was designated for the permanent exhibition.
