Near the Leszczyny-Rzędówka railway station there is a monument commemorating 288 prisoners - participants of the Death March, murdered by the Germans in January 1945 during the evacuation of prisoners from the Auschwitz camp. The victims were buried in a mass grave near the tracks; in 1958 their remains were exhumed and moved to the cemetery in Gliwice. The monument was unveiled in 1966.
