The cemetery-monument in the Szpęgawski Forest commemorates the victims of crimes committed by the Germans at the beginning of the Second World War (1939-1940). On the grounds there is an installation called the "Concrete Forest" - concrete trees engraved with the names of thousands of identified victims. The forest was a site of mass executions of the Polish population and of patients from the psychiatric hospital in Kocborowo.
