In the forest near Rudzki Most close to Tuchola, in 1939 members of the Selbstschutz repeatedly carried out mass executions of the Polish population - above all representatives of the local elites. It is estimated that around 560 people died near Rudzki Most. The execution site is commemorated by a monument, and the remains of the murdered were buried in a mausoleum on Świecka Street.
