Monument to the Victims of the 1939 Pomeranian Crime in Toruń

The monument commemorates the victims of the anti-Polish extermination campaign carried out by the Germans in Pomerania in 1939. It stands in Toruń, the capital of the pre-war Pomeranian Voivodeship. The design provides for the creation of a Memorial Park next to Toruń's Ethnographic Museum, with a central element in the form of a "shot house" - a white stone block with an opening revealing a metal plate bearing the names of about 400 localities where the Germans carried out executions. The monument was designed by sculptor Zbigniew Mikielewicz.
