The Main Trail of the Island Beskids is a hiking trail leading across the characteristic, isolated (island-like) peaks of the Island Beskids. It has the form of a loop - you can start it at any point.
The trail is in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It passes, among others, over Mogielica (1171 m a.s.l.) - the highest peak of the Island Beskids. Its length is given in various sources as approximately 320-360 km.
A mountain trail of moderate difficulty; good for stage-by-stage hiking.
Tourist facilities in the villages of the Island Beskids (including Mszana Dolna).
The trail is accessible all year round; in winter the peaks require experience.
Convenient starting point: Mszana Dolna (rail and bus access); it is possible to start in various villages along the loop.
