Racławice Panorama (National Museum in Wrocław)

A monumental panoramic canvas depicting the Battle of Racławice of 1794 - one of Wrocław's most famous attractions.

Location and surroundings

The Panorama Rotunda is located at ul. Purkyniego 11 in Wrocław, near Polish Hill.

History

The Panorama was painted in 1893-1894 by a team led by Jan Styka and Wojciech Kossak. Since 1985 it has been displayed in Wrocław in a specially built rotunda.

What to see

A canvas measuring approximately 15 x 114 metres, presented with light and sound effects and an audio guide.

Winter season (1 Nov-31 Mar): Tue-Sun, closed on Monday. Summer season (1 Apr-31 Oct): daily 8:30-19:00.

Sezon letni (1 IV-31 X): codziennie 8:30-19:00. Wymagana rezerwacja seansu.
