One of the largest regional museums in Poland, located on the site of the former Katowice coal mine.

The museum is located at ul. Dobrowolskiego 1 in the Culture Zone in Katowice, in an underground part on the grounds of a revitalised mine.

History

The Silesian Museum was established in the interwar period; the new premises on the site of the former mine opened in 2015.
