The museum is housed in the restored Lublin Castle, with its famous Gothic Chapel of the Holy Trinity.

The castle rises on a hill above Lublin's Old Town, at 9 Zamkowa Street.

History

The oldest part of the castle - the donjon (tower) - dates back to the 13th century. The Chapel of the Holy Trinity is renowned for its unique Ruthenian-Byzantine polychromy from 1418. The Neo-Gothic main building was erected in the 19th century.
