A museum presenting the history of the fortress and the so-called 'Kostrzyn Pompeii' - the ruins of the old town destroyed in 1945.
The museum is located in the Philip Bastion at ul. Graniczna 1 in Kostrzyn nad Odrą, within the historic fortress.
The Kostrzyn Fortress was built in the 16th century. The Old Town was almost completely destroyed during the fighting in 1945, and the preserved foundations and streets form the so-called 'Kostrzyn Pompeii'.
