Regional Museum in Środa Śląska

The museum is housed in the Gothic town hall occupying the central part of the market square. It is an organisational unit of the Środa district, co-financed by the Środa Śląska commune.

The Środa Treasure and collections

The town is famous for the Środa Treasure - one of the most valuable finds of medieval jewellery and coins in Europe (currently exhibited at the National Museum in Wrocław). The regional museum presents, among others, an exhibition of Środa guild insignia: seals, welcome cups (Willkomm), goblets and coffin plates documenting the history of the local guilds.
