Museum of the Sądecki Region - Gothic House

A cultural institution of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The museum was founded on 17 May 1909 as the Museum of the Sądecki Region. After the destruction of the castle in 1945 (an ammunition depot explosion) it was reactivated in 1946. Since 1963 its seat has been the historic Gothic House at ul. Lwowska 3. In January 2024 the institution returned to its pre-war name, Museum of the Sądecki Region.

Collections

The collections cover the archaeology and history of the Sądecczyzna region as well as art from the Middle Ages to the present - militaria, painting, sculpture, textiles and folk art.
