Museum of Central Pomerania in Słupsk

The museum is housed in the Castle of the Dukes of Pomerania in Słupsk. The first museum was established here in 1924, and as a Polish institution it has operated since 1948. The collection numbers over 30,000 museum objects.

Collections

The museum holds the world's largest collection of works by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz (Witkacy). The collection also includes mementos of the Pomeranian dukes of the Griffin dynasty, sacred art, a 17th-century silver altarpiece from Darłowo, numismatics and ethnographic material. The castle contains the crypts of the Pomeranian dukes.
