Museum of the Kuyavia and Dobrzyń Land in Włocławek

The museum was established on 2 June 1908 and opened on 14 March 1909 - it is one of the oldest museum institutions in Poland. The main building on Słowackiego Street was erected in 1930 with Neo-Gothic elements.

Collections

The museum specialises in Włocławek faience (around 15,000 objects documenting decorative techniques from 1873-1991). It also holds ethnographic collections, militaria, coins, folk art and a gallery of Polish portrait painting from the 18th-20th centuries. In 2009 it received the Gold Medal Gloria Artis.
