A branch of the District Museum in Suwałki, housed in the historic building of the former Civic Resource (Resursa Obywatelska) erected between 1912 and 1913. The museum was established on the initiative of the "Suwalszczyzna" Socio-Cultural Association in 1973, and since 1975 it has been a branch of the District Museum.
The permanent exhibition "Maria Konopnicka 1842-1910: Behind the Closed Doors of Time" presents the biography and work of the poet born in Suwałki. Among the exhibits are the poet's original letters, first editions of books and paintings.
