Museum in Tykocin

A branch of the Podlasie Museum in Białystok, housed in the complex of the Baroque Great Synagogue in Tykocin from 1642 - one of the most valuable and best-preserved synagogues in Poland.

Collections

The museum presents Judaica and documents the life and culture of the Jewish community of Tykocin and Podlasie. Inside the synagogue the bimah has been preserved, along with polychromes bearing prayer inscriptions. The second building is the Talmudic House.
