Museum in Piotrków Trybunalski

The museum draws on the Regional Museum of the Piotrków Land founded in 1909 on the initiative of Michał Rawita Witanowski. In 1997 the authorities handed over to the museum the entire building of the Renaissance castle (the so-called royal manor), granting the institution the status of a District Museum.

Collections

The museum is housed in a Renaissance royal castle from the 16th century. It presents the history of the town and the region, where for centuries noble assemblies were held and the Crown Tribunal deliberated.
