Mazovian Museum in Płock

One of the oldest regional museums in Poland, founded in 1820 from the merger of the collections of the Płock Scientific Society and the Voivodeship School. In 1967 the first museum presentation of Art Nouveau in Poland was organised here. Since 2005 the museum has occupied a restored tenement house in the Old Town.

Collections

The museum has the largest collection of Art Nouveau in Poland (approx. 5,500 objects) as well as an Art Déco collection. It also presents the permanent exhibition "Ten Centuries of Płock". The collections include the departments of history, archaeology, numismatics and ethnography.
