A leading museum of the history and culture of the Lublin region, with a collection of more than 20,000 objects. One of its main premises is the Renaissance Celej House - one of the most valuable historic buildings in Kazimierz Dolny.
The museum runs numerous branches: the Kuncewicz House, the Celej House, the Museum of Goldsmithing, and the Natural History Branch in Kazimierz Dolny, and beyond the town: the Żmijowiska Hillfort, the Castle in Janowiec, and the Czartoryski Museum in Puławy.
