Zamość Museum in Zamość

The museum occupies a complex of historic Armenian townhouses on the northern frontage of the Great Market Square, erected in the 17th century by Armenians who settled in Zamość (from 1585). The museum has operated since 1926; its originator was the physician and social activist Zygmunt Klukowski.

Collections

The exhibits on display belong to three departments: archaeological (the richest collection of Gothic archaeological finds in the country), ethnographic, and historical, dedicated to the town's past, the Zamoyski family, and the Zamość Entail.
