History

The most significant expansion took place between 1629 and 1641 for Voivode Stanisław Lubomirski, according to the design of Maciej Trapola; the fortifications were designed by Krzysztof Mieroszewski. A palazzo in fortezza type palace with bastion fortifications was created. In 1745 the property passed to Stanisław Lubomirski, then to his widow Izabela Lubomirska née Czartoryska, and after 1816 to the Potocki family (the entail). It is famous for its residential interiors and its collection of horse-drawn carriages.
