In the north-western part of the market square in Frydman, near the church, stands a fortified manor (also called a castle) built in 1589-1590 by György Horváth. It was an impressive Renaissance residence.
Frydman is one of the oldest villages in the Spisz region. The fortified manor is among the most valuable monuments of secular Renaissance architecture in the region.
