The castle in Niemodlin, set among ponds and surrounded by a park, is a site with origins dating back to the 14th century, later rebuilt into a Renaissance residence. Over the years it served various functions - from a knightly residence to a prison.
Today the castle can be visited and its turbulent history explored. It is among the Opole residences open to tourists.
