The remains of two defensive structures in Zbąszyń: a hillfort (relics of a castellan castle) north of the town, and the remains of a modern residential-defensive seat to the south-west of the town.
Of the former layout, earthen ramparts and a gate structure of the older stronghold have survived. In 1706 the castle was destroyed by Swedish troops.
