Market Square in Brzeg

The Market Square in Brzeg is a historic Old Town square whose central and most valuable feature is the Renaissance town hall, considered one of the most valuable monuments of Renaissance architecture in Poland.

Town hall

The town hall was erected between 1569 and 1577 to a design by Bernard Niuron, with the involvement of the Italian builder Jakub Parr. The interiors have preserved, among other things, a hall with a wooden ceiling dated 1646 and the Baroque Councillors' Hall of 1742.
