Market Square in Kluczbork

The Market Square in Kluczbork has roots reaching back to the 13th century, when the town received its municipal rights. In the centre of the square stands an impressive town hall, which is the architectural dominant.

History and buildings

In the 18th century the square underwent a thorough remodelling, which gave it its Baroque character; the town hall was erected at that time. Around the square, historic townhouses from the 18th and 19th centuries have been preserved. Adjoining the town hall are two townhouses, remnants of the former 'Twelve Apostles' complex.
