Market Square in Jarosław

The market square in Jarosław was laid out during the town's chartering under German law in 1375. Its urban layout has survived in almost unchanged form to this day, making it one of the more valuable market squares in Poland.

Town Hall

The central point of the square is the impressive town hall, whose current Neo-Renaissance form dates from the early 20th century; it stands out with its slender clock tower. Beneath the market square, underground passages have survived (the Underground Tourist Route).

Buildings

The market square is surrounded by historic townhouses, including the Renaissance Orsetti House.
