Market Square in Krosno

The market square in Krosno is a square measuring about 115 by 72 metres, which in the past served as a marketplace and today is a representative space. Krosno is sometimes called 'little Kraków'.

Buildings

In the frontages of the market square there are 30 townhouses, including the town hall house, recognisable by the clock on its pediment. The arcades of the townhouses are characteristic. In the 16th century, a Renaissance town hall was erected on the market square, which was destroyed in a fire in the 19th century.
