Great Market Square in Szydłowiec

The Great Market Square in Szydłowiec is a typical medieval market square with a rectangular layout, with characteristic little streets emerging from the corners. At its centre stands a Late Renaissance town hall.

Town Hall

The town hall was erected between 1602 and 1629 in the Late Renaissance style. Its high attic, tower with a clock and Renaissance cupola, and corner turrets topped with domes make it one of the most magnificent and valuable monuments of burgher architecture in Poland.
