Stary Rynek, 09-400 Płock, woj. mazowieckie
The Old Market Square in Płock is a historic square in the heart of the Old Town, one of the oldest urban centres in Mazovia. For a time, Płock was the capital of Poland (in the 11th century the residence of Władysław Herman and Bolesław the Wrymouth).
On the market square stands a Classicist town hall erected between 1824 and 1827 to a design by Jakub Kubicki. In 1831, the Sejm of the Kingdom of Poland convened within its walls.
The square is open to the public all year round.
The Old Market Square is in the centre of Płock, by the Vistula River, near Tumskie Hill.
