Market Square in Lubań

The Market Square in Lubań is the historic Old Town square with preserved valuable monuments, including the Renaissance town hall and the Merchants' Tower.

Town Hall

On the southern side of the square stands the Renaissance town hall from 1539-1544, erected by Hans Linder. The building bears Renaissance and Baroque features. After fires it was rebuilt between 1764 and 1783.

Merchants' Tower

By the square there is also the medieval Merchants' Tower, one of the city's symbols.
