The Market Square in Chełm, called Dr Edward Łuczkowski Square, is the historic heart of the city. In the present shape of the square, the outline of the walls of the former town hall is discernible, next to which stands a reconstructed wooden well.
The square is surrounded by historic townhouses. Chełm is also famous for its chalk underground - a unique tourist route drilled in chalk beneath the city, accessible near the square.
The square is open to the public all year round.
The Market Square is in the centre of Chełm.
