Modlin Fortress is located in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, at the confluence of the Vistula and the Narew, north-west of Warsaw.
One of the largest fortresses in Europe; its barracks (the Long House) are considered the longest building in Europe (approx. 2250 m). Expanded in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Red Tower (Tatar Tower), barracks, powder magazines and the fortification system; you can explore on foot, by bike or by car.

High season (May-Sep): Wed-Thu 12:00-17:00, Fri-Sun 11:00-18:00; low season (Oct-Apr): Fri-Sun 12:00-16:00 (closed Mondays).
On foot, by bike or by car; entry to the inner grounds is paid. Free parking in the area (residential district).
