Kraków Fortress is an extensive complex of forts surrounding Kraków, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The Kraków Fortress Trail includes several dozen forts and fortification structures.
The Austrian authorities officially recognised Kraków as a fortress in 1856. After expansion, Kraków Fortress became one of the largest strongholds of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. The trail is marked in Habsburg colours (yellow and black).
