Czarci Ostrow, jezioro Sniardwy / Elk, woj. warminsko-mazurskie
The first fortress in East Prussia, erected in the 18th century on Czarci Ostrów (Devil's Island) on Lake Śniardwy. In 1784 a small fortified magazine known as Fort Lyck was built, intended to guard the waterway. The site is connected with the fortification heritage of Warmia and Masuria.
The site is accessible as part of the Warmia and Masuria fortification trail. Visiting details unconfirmed.
