Fort VII - Museum of the Martyrdom of the People of Greater Poland

A Prussian artillery fort forming part of the 19th-century Poznan Fortress. During World War II, the Germans established here, as early as 10 October 1939, the first concentration camp on Polish soil (Konzentrationslager Posen) - one of the sites of martyrdom for the people of Greater Poland.

Museum

The museum documents the martyrdom of the people of Greater Poland; it collects camp correspondence, drawings, photographs, personal documents of prisoners and everyday objects.

Open every day of the week except Monday. Admission to the exhibition is free of charge, with free entry on Tuesdays; guided tours for an additional fee.
