The castle is located in Kwidzyn (Pomeranian Voivodeship), at ul. Katedralna 1, in the picturesque Powiśle region, about 45 km from Malbork. It is connected to the cathedral.
The Gothic castle was built in the Middle Ages as the seat of the Pomesanian chapter. Its distinctive feature is a sanitary tower projecting from the castle body - the so-called gdanisko - connected to the main structure by a long gallery supported on arcades. Today the castle is a branch of the Malbork Castle Museum.
